Monkey Rock is the single largest vendor lot/shopping mall at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and is located at the geographic center of the event.

In retail, location is everything and Monkey Rock’s is undeniably the best in market. In addition to being very strategically placed, we do all the little things too; like the provision of 24 hour security, a massive marketing campaign, morning to night promotions and entertainment and providing free internet access via a 1.5MB WiFi pipeline.

We’re making a number of changes both to the site and to our operating model – all as part of the design to attract more patrons to Monkey Rock’s exhibitor shopping mall. See the following for a brief explanation…

What’s new for Vendors in 2010?

•    More FREE Parking + Added Exhibitor Space

We’re upgrading the quality and quantity of food available on site this year and are adding approximately 60,000 square feet of new asphalt for added parking and exhibitor space.

•    Motorcycle Related Promotions

We’ll be adding more motorcycle enthusiast shows, to include a museum of unique bikes, burnouts, builders and other cool stuff that we’ll release as confirmed.

•    New Sanitation Facilities

Brand new restroom and shower facilities will be free to all vendor partners at the Rock as will our business services center that we were unable to provide in 2009, as planned.    

•    Site Improvements

In addition to the new asphalt and sanitation facilities, we’re adding new seating inside the Rock as well as cleaning and dressing the 1 acre pond on the north of our lot while adding entertainment, food and leisure space for shoppers and sun revelers. We’re adding a new ride-out facility

•    Expanded Marketing – FREE to Our Vendors

Monkey Rock is acquiring more billboards, print ads, radio spots and providing more hand-to-hand advertising by our new street team of promoters. All of which will be included in your space rental with us. Yes, on a first-come, first-served basis, our vendors will get free advertising in conjunction with Monkey Rock’s stand-alone full spectrum marketing campaign. Plus, we’ll begin in early 2010 networking our collective internet presence, building an online web among site operator (Monkey Rock) and retailers (you).

FREE. Connectivity is a pretty important part of our lives nowadays and you won’t miss an email or your favorite video stream while at Monkey Rock. With a 1.5mb line, we have lots of bandwidth to ensure your connection to the outside world from Sturgis.
